The BC846 is an NPN bipolar junction transistor designed for general-purpose switching and small-signal amplification. It features a 65V collector-emitter voltage rating, 100mA maximum collector current, and a DC current gain range of 110–450 at 2mA collector current. Its relatively high voltage rating makes it suitable for low-current control and analog circuits that require more voltage headroom than typical 30V to 45V small-signal transistors.
