The TIP42C is a PNP bipolar power transistor designed for general-purpose power amplification, linear control, and switching applications. It features a 100V collector-emitter voltage rating, 6A continuous collector current, and up to 10A peak collector current. With a maximum power dissipation of 65W at a 25°C case temperature, it is suitable for medium-power circuits requiring substantial current and thermal handling capability.
